From Russia with love

In the beginning of this month, I have been on holiday in Russia: Moscow and Saint Petersburg. I have just returned home.

I have never been there before, and though I have heard it should be a beautiful country, I was surprised on how fantastic those two cities really are.

There has almost always been – and still are – some political issues. But it is hard to find a country, where this isn’t the case.

Everywhere I went, I met very nice and helpful people.

Almost summer in Denmark

Few days ago, it was almost winter. Then – all of a sudden – it changed to almost summer.

I took this photo yesterday, but the weather is even better today.

The motive is Copenhagen, as seen from one of the towers: Christiansborg Tower.

Time off in Japan

My holiday this summer has been a short trip to Japan. I have just returned from a fantastic – yet pretty warm – journey to the cities Kyoto and Tokyo, with a short visit to Hiroshima and Miyajima.

It is spring in Denmark. The sun is shining, the birds are singing – and trees and plants are switching into other colors than Brown.

It finally looks like spring has arrived in Denmark.
It has been a warm winter, with a lot of rain instead of snow. Still it is nice to look forward to bright days and green leaves on trees and shrubs.

Canada

My vacation is over and I am back at work.

I have spent just over two weeks in Canada, visited Vancouver, flown by seaplane to Vancouver Island and drive around in rental car in British Columbia and across the border into Alberta.

What a beautiful country and such nice people.
